Moondog - Why is this a failure? The short date is simply how a date will be displayed. It has nothing to do with the internal storage of the actual date. Rarely do you need to have ll four digits displayed.. its generally extremely obvious if something is 1900 or 2000.

The applications still have access to the complete date (i.e. all 4 digits).

Maybe we should start worrying about the Y10K problem ... that will be significantly worse in that respect.

Only 3.5 hours till Tonga and New Zealand melt down.
