Gas warfare in Grozny. Russians say the rebels had collected chlorine in tanks. Would be interesting to find independent - or at least 'independent' - corroboration as for the source of the gas. After all, the all to familiar, all to bleak scheme was predicted by this thread: after first accusing the rebels in the international media of collecting gas, it was safe for the Russian army to use it. Perfect alibi. all too bleak outlooks for humanity. While in WWI ninety per cent of the casualties are believed to have been soldiers, in contemporary wars the civilian/soldier ratio in fatalities is reversed. regards :-(( MNI.
