Y2K a big fizzer! Nothing happening in New Zealand - now 2.20am. The dunnies still flush, the tap still runs and the puter still flickers with pixels.

That must mean to load up with shares at the open.

Any problems will be in small, non-crucial businesses with plenty of competitors to fill any shortfall.

Rained out Y2K here. Australia saw it in with a starry night. Lucky buggers.

Meanwhile, yesterday, last century, Qualcomm traded over $10bn. A new, all time world record for Q! I think the previous record was about $7bn and the one after that about $5bn. The market cap this time last year was half that.

Life's a giggle.

Well, it is so far in the next century [or last year of the 20th if you prefer].

Nevertheless, no Y2K problems. Though I bet some of you can't imagine sheep having Y2K problems anyway.

PS: 2.30 am and power is now restored to the Morrinsville water supply plant. Not a Y2K related problem. Morrinsville probably just wanted to get on the map - it's Hicksville, New Zealand [if that isn't a tautology].
