In addition to ads I am seeing general interest trivia in these panels which I think is being provided by GMST. This includes things like parenting tips, top 10 bestsellers. Hmmm....top 10 best sellers... parenting tips.... can anybody say T-Commerce! For those people who are unclear of GMST's future prospects, take a look at the history of Yahoo. How did Yahoo start...it was simply a directory, or interactive guide of the Net. I remember when YHOO IPO'ed and I thought, "who would invest in a stupid web directory." Well, once YHOO had the traffic, it could easily monetize those viewers. Now I understand. And I also understand GMST's strategy.
