The decision to launch a nuclear attack is a human decision and it is not done by a single person.To execute this action it takes a series of verifications again not done by a single person.
This is the US version of events , not sure about Russian or Chinese versions but assumed to be similar
Then there is the red telephone hot line between the Kremlin and the White House
If there is even one in a billion chances of an attack caused by computer error and we did nothing about it then the people in the CIA and State Dept. have NOT done their jobs
I think they did their jobs fine but did not say it
publically though
So hang on to your MSFT stocks everybody, We will celebrate at the end of January
