Dear PuddleGlum,

I did a feature on the biotech stocks a couple of weeks ago
and recommended a handful of stocks, especially those
related to the gene mapping subject. Those that were recommended included AFFX, CRA, MLNM, INCY and a couple of others. They have since run away (higher) and now need to see some type of consolidation; but I would watch for buying opportunities there. As well, we have AMGN on our Best Page, and have been recommending it since the mid 40's. It too is extended now, but one I would buy on a pullback or after some type of consolidation. The RS for the sector remains strong and I think this will be a sector to focus on in 2000. Regards,
