Monu.. I once saw a huge paper on the difference between Godly "tunes" and ungodly. This was not talking about words at all. I found it amazing that someone could even think of those things never mind try to prove them.

I have been told there is a huge difference between the music of Bethovan and Bach because you can see the Godly over the ungodly even thought they had no words.

All of that is out there somewhere. I do not see it.

As far as God using something other than the Psalm to save a man does not hold the kind of weight it once did with me.

God can use a Donkey to get through to us as He did with Balaam but Balaam did not put that Donkey behind the Pulpit the next Sabbath.

I can think of a lot of things God "used" when I was being saved I was even moved by many ungodly songs.

A doctor could amputate your leg with a chainsaw but there are better ways.

I desire to see God's Word whenever and where ever possible because that is the true means of Salvation.

I do listen to other music. I do not however expect anything other than God's Word through the Holy Spirit to save men.

When I was first saved and before I got convinced about the use of Psalms only in Church I had a huge collection of " Christian Rock" and various other things. I had a friend say to me one day that he had noticed that the better someone was doing 'spiritually' the less rock they seemed to be interested in. I thought he was nuts until I started to notice that about myself. I was trying to get my "strength" from music and records instead of God's Word.

I was met by satan he laughed at my records..
