"They're looking for them too" Karl, that's BS. E*Trade has taken delivery of "street shares" from Cede & Co., according to the transfer agent. This all happened back in November. They told me they had the shares. The real story is they're simply too damn lazy to dig out their October 1, 1998 records and start assigning shares to holders of record on that date. Perhaps they're holding their breath until Y2K is safely behind us, but it's a telling indicator of how little they regard their "back-office" responsibilities.
