Maorice, FWIW, We just got a fax from a business partner in New Zealand with 80,000 monitored security system accounts. No problems. Y2K considered a non-event.

Actually, the bigger problem for us today and coming up on Monday is and will be the companies whose front doors are unlocked when nobody is there working (as opposed to most weekdays when lots of people are there not working.) This is because they neglected to give us their holiday schedules. We've been calling all our remote managed accounts this morning, and have locked down quite a few, including the regional office of a major national CDMA carrier (no names mentioned).

It is amazing to us how many companies have decided to shut their buildings down today through Monday and are completely turning off their power, telephone, and computer systems. They are doing this even after we have recommended against it - in writing - at least in the case of the power and phone systems. Their security systems should start dying sometime tomorrow morning as the battery backup systems start running out of juice.

Happy Q Year to all!
