Your friend made a very wise statement in my opinion. I have found this to be true in my own life as well. There is a lot of fluff in so-called christian music. With that said, a friend said to me once that God can use anything to bring someone to Him, although He may not approve of it.

I do believe God approves some christian music today that is not based on Psalms, just as He approves some christian books that are not the bible. As I said, you can't go wrong singing Psalms. You do have to be discerning when it comes to christian music.

Some of it IS anointed. It was the SPIRIT that spoke to that young man that day sitting at the side of BT. The devil wouldn't tell him it was "heavenly"; nor would he have wanted him to go in; nor would he have wanted him to testify on a video going worldwide that might give others hope that they too can be delivered from the bondage of alcoholism and sin.

Colleen if you're reading this, you're forgiven. Brian is a character, ain't he?
