Gentlemen and Ladies: Where are the refrains of "Auld Lang Syne"?
You have been the most unique "ad hoc" team I've ever had the pleasure of "meeting". Keep those "Due Diligence" engines humming.
This certainly has been a one of the most unusual forums to exchange information, and to demand accountability along with a company's responsibility to shareholders. I frequently wonder if this situation would have ever materialized, or on the other hand, if it would have ever been "uncovered", had this forum not been present. What would have occurred if there had not been the free flow of opinions, assessments, facts, and beliefs? How would such a large group of similarly situated individuals been identified? ....One phase is conditionally settled, and others (according to recently published company documents) are still underway. The "justice" clock moves slowly, even at the end of a millennium.
The past couple of years were certainly filled with twists, turns, bumps, and grinds. Truths, and "not so truths". Behind the scenes there were some, who had long ceased being regular posters, who returned secretly, to support the efforts of all of you who stood in the line of fire. And, of course, there were those who pounded your fists, hoping others could see what you saw early. It was difficult to get the message through, due to the carefully orchestrated "smoke" that had been generated. Investors owe a few of you, a whole lot of respect.
Many were hurt, but for at least a portion, their "pain" may be mitigated somewhat, even if not completely. As this year, this decade, and this millennium end, at least all of you can take solace in the fact the "process" is not over yet.
I hope some of our paths cross again in a better setting and, in any event, it has certainly been a privilege.
Best regards, and good wishes for a prosperous new millennium. Bob. |
