Great start on NTAP. I can't wait for your next installment(s). Thanks for all your hard work. I have been lurking for quite a while (long enough to read the entire thread and Moore's books).

I believe NTAP is in a very important market. It is easy to forget or at least underestimate the server end of the internet explosion, because we sit at the client end. As the bandwidth bottleneck eases most pc clients will still be up to the job. Most servers will not. I expect the growth rate for the server side to well outpace the client side, because it's bandwidth on top of the rapidly increasing worldwide client population.

A typical server today is not optimized for its typical use on the net. It's overpowered CPU and underpowered I/O (disk and network). It is choked with layers of software not appropriate to its function, as well as numerous 'soft' bottlenecks such as directory structures that can cripple a systems performance.

NTAP has made a great start at addressing many of these problems. I don't think it will take long at all for the market to embrace this approach.
