To all, Having read the 'Coming Into Buy Range' thread, I see that there must be a LOT of Qillionaires reading this. Many of you have already swooped on Globalstar. So maybe the GSTRF jump is just a TA excitement by you over-margined Qualcomm shareholders wanting to double up on your Qualcomm 'profits'.
Yeah, that'll be it. You've bought in the $40s and next week, when they report handset sales are excellent to SI members but otherwise quiet, you'll be margined out at $15 in a general market post-nuptial Y2K crunch when Alan Green$pan sees the coast is clear and it's time to calm everyone down from their frenzied stock buying [on margin].
How come it's so easy to get handsets if demand is huge? Maybe that $200/2/2000 needs to go back to $200/2/2001 after all.
Suspicious, but optimistic. Damn, for a minute there, I thought they must be selling a lot of handsets. Then again, they should have about 40,000 ready to sell.

PS: I bet that made you margined people who took Greg Mullineaux at face value that Globalstar is a good buy a bit nervous! Now you'll have to figure out if GSTRF really is a good thing or just another Iridium [which also soared not long after starting operation before falling to its doom]. Time for due diligence folks.
[Hey, how about IDC? That's a great company with excellent lawyers - they might sue if anyone says anything different. They've got patents too. Lots of them. Qualcomm even paid them money. Some even think IDC might be the next Qualcomm. It's amazing what some people will think.]

Look out....too much debt, slow sales, huge phones with poor battery life...yeah, this sucker sucks doesn't it...terrestrial buildout taking over....poor global coverage [regional only]....high roaming charges....Craig McCaw and other competitors coming in....billions and billions of minutes unsold....Ericy phones not ready...doesn't work in buildings....huge aerial looks like a gun [good for robbing banks and getting shot by nervous guards]...stock market on all-time high due to crash....woe is us.... |
