Hi Mr. Lockey

As with any investment there are risks and rewards. Bre-X should have done its homework about the country of Indonesia and the politics behind it. There are large risks when dealing with a foreign country especially one with a dictatorship running the country. All these companies working in Indonesia take these risks. These companies must also take into account the business culture of this country. Indonesia is one of the most ill-reputed countries in the world and one of the most corrupted to say the least. When in Rome do as the Romans do. Bre-X didn't do that and got burnt.
