<<And just quite possibly that 1/2 of 1 percent who have prepared, like me and mine are really glad to have extra on hand, period. It feels more solid than hand to mouth, and is quite a point of satisfaction that we have been frugal and able to plan for our own survival incase of hard times.>>
Yes, I've thought about that too, ole 49r. All of the people that now have a reasonable store of food and water for an emergency, their paperwork organized, the missing items in the first aid kit refilled, firewood cut-split-stacked, cars tuned up, furnaces tuned up, old locks replaced, investments reviewed and perhaps reallocated, amends made, contingency plans thought through, batteries in flashlights and radios replaced, fire extinguishers tested, and on and on and on .... Things that we generally didn't feel were a high priority, "no time", etc.
Sure can't hurt!
