Net longs need to grab their fanny......this will get ugly in January. I don't know if the exits are big enough to handle those wanting out.

That's not what I took from the interview. It seems to me the major point was that e-tailers are going to see a big-time shakeout over the coming few years (which we are all expecting) and that AMZN is certainly a survivor (again, which doesn't surprise anyone here).

AMZN, while having a ways to go, is the next major retailer -- the next WMT, if you will. And it is highly unlikely AMZN will be unseated as the leader in this genre. AMZN is doing ALL the right things. As a result, current shareholders will see their holdings rise exponentially over the coming few years.

These people who are focused on quarterly earnings (or the lack of them) can't see the forest for the trees. The accumulated losses are immaterial when considered next to the growth potential for this stock. I suspect the same critics wouldn't complain at all if a major drug company took similar losses in developing a cure for cancer. Yet the prospects for future profits may well be on that level.

Me, I hope it goes to 30, because I'll be mortgaging the house...
