Jacques,

I wonder where Ed Yardeni spent his New year's eve?

I saw him interviewed on one of the business shows. Now he's talking about interest rates and the stock market bubble. Looks like he's doing an impression of Al Capp's Lil' Abner cartoon character Joe Bftsplk, if anyone remembers him. Find negative everywhere, black cloud over the head wherever he goes. The guy didn't say one word about how he completely blew the Y2K bug manifestation, and its "effect" on the stock market. He's toast.

Can't go outa 1999 on a negative. Here's a toast to the Gartner Group, who called the Y2K thing as best as I've seen, by far. Pass the Mumm's.

Oh oh, we're not there yet on the Left Coast, land of fruits and nuts, and stock option, money-crazed real estate speculators. Maybe the Y2K bug will trigger the San Andreas Fault and Las Vegas will be ocean front!

Tony
