Unclewest recently posted some Cree Links on the G&K and I thought that these might also be of interest. Some may be a duplicate of his post (if so I apologize) or several layers below his sites.

I've tried not to post anything to technical. The Darpa report is informative as I think that is the truly valuable market for Cree.

Wade through the "IIV_V Nitride..Blue & Green site to the "future outlook" if the tech stuff is too boring.

My point is to show the applications and in some cases to highlight the potential competition (NIchia, ATMI, maybe Westinghouse...but I doubt it, has W commercialized anything solidstate in the last 25 years?)

I know the leadership at ATMI and respect them. They could ultimately become competition on the wafer side, but unlikely on the device side.

At least go to the end of this article (it's somewhat technical) to the "Future" part. BTW the nitrides mentioned are competitive devices, but also part of the CREE devices for the LED's
