People who say the Y2K was "no big deal", and that all the hype by the predictors of catastrophe was overblown.

I consider a cost of hundreds of billion dollars to be a "big deal".

Personally, I never expected a "catastrophe", but certainly expected an impact on financial affairs over a period of time.

Particularly annoying, since if it hadn't been for the hype, there wouldn't have been such a dramatic world-wide movement to get the problems fixed on time.

Correction ... to get the MAJOR problems fixed on time. We still don't know what all will happen in the local areas. I expect there will be "how did that happen?" computer software events for weeks.
