I'm surprised that nobody has posted here for so long... Since I'm not sure where to register my gripes with the "New SI," I'll do it in this forum.
My complaints center on the portfolio display, which I tend to visit often. On the "Old SI," when I was viewing my portfolio and wanted to check out the most recent activity on the various message boards, I could tell whether anyone had posted since my last check, because the portfolio showed the time the last message was posted for each stock (if it was on that same day). For me, the "New SI" does not show when the most recent activity occurred, so I have to click on Discussion for each individual stock to figure out whether anyone had posted. This is my #1 gripe.
A second gripe is that the portfolios automatically determine which order to display the stocks I track, that is, in alphabetical order. I would rather choose the order myself, like the "Old SI" (and Raging Bull, for that matter) allowed. My own system was to first list the stocks I own or trade in alphabetical order, and then follow with other stocks I happen to be watching but not necessarily trading, also in alphabetical order.
Since I'm on a roll, I'll just mention as a trivial comment that the colors used for the "New SI" are a bit drab, although the new customized classic SI does have a more pleasing look to it. Thanks for reading this!
