Down to Canada ? or Canadians drink CC
The only people who get asked to "come on down" in Canada are Inuit. If you live in Keewatin or Mackenzie you are asked to "come on down" to Ottawa. People from Yellowknife or Whitehorse get to come on down. If you are a Canadian, Americans from Alaska could of course, "come on down" but are not representative. Alaskans, however, would never be caught drinking a Corona, they leave that to the other corner of America (Florida). When in Canada, "drinking" usually refers to beer, they don't make that in the US. Right behind beer, or ahead of beer as the case may be, is Canadian Club, it is made from rye, and as anyone familiar with farming knows there is no finer rye than rye grown in Saskatchewan. In fact the Saskatchewan provincial flag contains a sheaf of some grain, we can imagine it is rye. Canadian Club is very good with water, don't try that with other rye derived liquors though.
Happy New Year everyone. |
