Dave,

Having to route orders to a particular exchange may be ending soon. Today's Barron's in "The Striking Price" column
states that the International Securities Exchange (ISE), the first all electronic options exchange, will be ready to launch in March. It states that the ISE will display all exchanges quotes and ensure that orders are completed at the best available price. The ISE plans on dealing in options on the 600 most widely traded stocks.

The article goes on to state that this is going to squeeze the profit margins of market makers and that there are reports of floor traders hanging up their smocks ( a moment of silence please). You mentioned that you know some market makers on the Philly, are any of them thinking of packing it in because of this (LOL).

OT: went to Billy Joel concert at the Garden last night. The guy puts on the best show.

Regards,

Ken
