Lorrie, I'll try to answer your questions as a Christian, and a friend.
If God chose a Jew, is God a Jew? God is a Spirit.
There are many scriptures explaining why God chose the Jewish people. There is a web site where you can look many of these things up. Try, [http://bible.crossdaily.com]
First, God chose a Jew
The beginning of the book of Matthew tells of the generations leading up to the birth of Christ.
Matthew 1:1 The book of the generation of Jesus Christ, the son of David, the son of Abraham. 1:17 So all the generations from Abraham to David [are] fourteen generations; and from David until the carrying away into Babylon [are] fourteen generations; and from the carrying away into Babylon unto Christ [are] fourteen generations.
Mary's Mother, to "Conceive" Mary,"immaculatly"
Mary was not conceived immaculatly. Her son Jesus was.
God, having chosen Mary,[a 14 yr. old Jew?
Luke 1:28 And the angel came in unto her, and said, Hail, [thou that art] highly favoured, the Lord [is] with thee: blessed [art] thou among women. 1:30 And the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary: for thou hast found favour with God. 1:31 And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS. 1:34 Then said Mary unto the angel, How shall this be, seeing I know not a man? 1:35 And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God.
How was this done...?
Jesus was conceived by the Holy Spirit of God. 1:37 For with God nothing shall be impossible.
Did Mary actually have intercourse with God or the [angel?] that came on/with the "light"?...
No, Mary had relations with no man until after the birth of Jesus.
1:18 Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise: When as his mother Mary was espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Ghost. 1:19 Then Joseph her husband, being a just [man], and not willing to make her a public example, was minded to put her away privily. 1:20 But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost. 1:21 And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins. 1:22 Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying, 1:23 Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us. 1:24 Then Joseph being raised from sleep did as the angel of the Lord had bidden him, and took unto him his wife: 1:25 And knew her not till she had brought forth her firstborn son: and he called his name JESUS
and does the "light" represent ejaculatte?
No. In the Old Testament, the glory of God was displayed as a brilliant light, but men were not able to look on it. In the New Testament, men were able to approach Jesus; but His glory was not seen, being veiled by His human form.
In the new heaven and new earth, the glory of God will not be veiled, and we shall be able to behold it. The distance will be removed, and we will fellowship with God forevermore.
I hope I have been of help in answering your questions. I don't claim to understand all the mysteries of God. But, if He could create the earth and sky, surely, He could create a child by any method He chooses.
I can't explain in a scientific way that I love my children either. But I can tell you that I know it for a fact, beyond any shadow of a doubt. Because we don't understand all the details of something, does not mean it doesn't exist. The Lord does tell us that one day all of these things will be made clear to us.
1 Corinthians 13:12 For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face; now I know in part; but then shall I know even as I am known.
I pray the Lord will answer all of your questions in a better way than I ever could.
