Well, today I sat back and started reading some IBD prognostication articles. In the Fund and Personal Finance section an interview with four self certified experts was interesting. But by far Alberto Vilar manager of the Amerindo Technology fund made the most insightful statements.

"The Internet is like a virus. It's infecting every corner of the globe, and it's going to infect every aspect of our Lives."

His other comments were very good. Now I'd point you to the article online but the people hired by William O'Neil screw up getting the online addition correct about 70% of the time. So if any out there know Mr. O'Neil, have him contact me and I'll fix his web problems.

Now Mr. Vilar also thinks that in 5 years business to business e-commerce could be north of 50% of the economy and this will create 3 trillion in new market wealth.

So wireless is extending the viral tentacles of the Internet and creating a quantum increase in the availability and value of data. The ever increasing bandwidth infrastructure is making it possible to feed more and more data in real time to any point. But who has the software to connect this remote data real time? Who has the realtime engine to provide the visibility into data relationships in real time?
Who has the software to provide the results of this analysis into custom created gui's. Is this software for access to the information for realtime analysis and display, totally proprietary hardware agnostic?

Now in many cases realtime data analysis is not important. But as most don't know if their data requires or don't understand the value of real time data, FUD says you want technology that has the capability. Have any of you ever heard about the value of one stop shopping. Many want to deal with a company that has technology that provides an end to end solution.

So conclusions, Applix has outstanding software technology that provides amazing solutions. Applix because of Linux is benefiting from increased publicity and because Applix was and is Unix centric software systems solutions, Applix is benefiting from the Linux rekindling of the understanding
and appreciation of exceptional value of Unix solutions.

Now if this is all true then Applix revenues will come and with revenues technical indicators will continue to show uptrending. But their is also the Tahiti scenario with Applix. Applix my be recognized as a mini qualcom because of it's incredible fit with market direction. But seeing the Applix connections is beyond the 5 plus or minux two understanding of most at the present time.

Happy New Year All.
