Thank you, Dan, for backing me up. I agree that you have been supportive of me, and I appreciate it. I do think, however, that it is better not to drag onto Feelies arguments which began on other threads. It's hard enough to follow the arguments on this thread. I further agree with your larger point that the savage personal attacks that conservatives have been advancing lately do little to promote the conservative cause. I've quit listening to Rush Limbaugh and quit reading the American Spectator due to revulsion at the savagery of the attacks. I was very disappointed when I recently read a National Review for the first time in a while, and saw that it had become infected with the same hateful bile. I don't know what has caused otherwise moral, upright, respectable people to use such vile language. Suggesting that you have sex with sheep is about the most disgusting thing I've seen in my life, and it's pretty surprising coming from a man who gets offended that you might make a disparaging remark about his mother (Vaughn). It's got to stop. Let's you and I try to take the moral high road, and let them make their little jokes about sex with sheep.
