c. horn, I think the buyer pays three bucks and the seller forks over three bucks to Priceline and a dollar comes from somewhere, I forget. Anyway Priceline makes the seven bucks.
So here is my understanding of how it works. Let's say I have a old piece for crap that I don't want. Meanwhile, there you are just waiting for a old piece of crap to go up for sale because one can never have enough crap.
So there is the match waiting to be made by Priceline. I give them three bucks and put out an ad that says that the piece of crap is for sale for $5.00. You say you won't pay a penny over $3.99. We both waste our time for a while and I figure out that I'm lucky to sell an old piece of crap for $3.99 so I say it's a deal. You now have to pay me $3.99 plus 3 bucks to Priceline. $6.99 for a piece of crap.
But then I figure out that after I pay my three bucks to Priceline I've made 99 cents for my trouble and for 99 cents I'd rather hang on to my old piece of crap so I tell you the deal is off, I'm not giving you my piece of crap.
Priceline then sics a high priced lawyer on me because they want your three bucks. I tell their lawyer to tell Priceline to pack sand up their a$$ and that my brother who is one of the better lawyers to come out of Loyola, is who they need to talk to until hell freezes over or I give up my crap. It drags out for years.
I think that's how it would work for me.
