Mike,

Thanks for the information. Close to where I live there are 3 KKROs. The one I usually go to is in Brentwood. Around 5:30 to 6:00 pm the place starts to fill up. I would guess that most customers get take-out rather than eat in. There is usually a line to the door. A few times the line has gone out the door.

Update on Kenny Rogers Roasters. My friend and I went to the new KennyRR last night to try the chicken. There was a sign on the door saying 'Open at 5:00 pm'. We show up at 5--still closed. Looking in the window we could see no food at all. The manager came out and said they would open at 5:30. My guess is that wouldn't happen either. The contrast between KKRO management and Kenny Rogers IS significant. The Kenny Rogers manager was a woman in her 40s that looked like an alcoholic. Her spoken English was terrible and she was rude. Image counts. I don't expect to ever go back. So much for first impressions...
(BTW we didn't stay to try the chicken, we went to KKRO instead)

Of the restaurants I have been to (KKRO, KRR, BOST, LA Chicken Cafe, and Chasin Chicken) the only one that appeared to have competent people behind the counter is KKRO. KKRO hires talent. The others places seem to hire cheap labor only.

Fred
