I pledge $500 to a research foundation that
does research work on Obsessive Compulsive
Disorder--don't have a name yet, but I'll find
one when I win <g>. However, in the unlikely event
that somebody else wins, I'll send the check to
their health-related cause or charity.

My picks for 2000:

Ariad, Axys, Cadus, Cambridge Neuro, Cortex, Genset,
Genzyme Molecular Oncology, Magainin, Synaptic, Targeted Genetics.

Background:
fyi...I started this thread partly because last year I scored
about a +220% gain on ten picks I listed on the 'Nifty' thread.
Well, there is no way I'm going to get another 200% gain, I'd
be very very happy with 50%--and even if the market crashes
this year, heaven forbid, something good will still come of this
silliness.

On the off chance that somebody comes across my picks and
thinks they are good ones to buy--well, stop right there.
I suspect I was just in the right sector at the right time--
hopefully small and microcap biotech is still cheap relative
to the rest of the market, but no guarantees. I do think
that a few of the stocks I own are incredible bargains,
a few are lotto tickets, and a few are sentimental favorites
that I've followed for awhile.

This is merely a way to convert opinions which are worth two
cents, into real dollars. If I happen to do really well this
next year, maybe I'll be able to make my pledge a lot bigger.
Now that would make this contest a lot of fun!
Disclaimer, I own those stocks for real.
