I would guess it is more a matter of focus rather than lack of market. Hard for a company Amati's size to address both copper and cable and do a decent job at either. The most recent data I have seen estimates 20K paying subscribers to cable modem services today, growing to 100K by year end, which has to at least equal the ADSL market rollout. You are one of the lucky few in California who have the option to sign up (I assume you are in the Time Warner service area?)

But I digress too....sorry.
