The rule #0 in stock market is "demand and supply". If there is big demand price is bound to go up.
Other rules like fundamentals come later. <<<<

If you are a short term investor, then I can not dissagree with your argument. The fact that stock splits cause sudden rises in stock prices is an indicator that there are many uneducated investors out there, and this concerns me. The stock is not any cheaper just because a stock splits.

I am becoming more concerned about the level of investor education out there as the market continues to rise. Don't get me wrong, I love the returns that we had in 1999, but I worry about a sudden, large correction when the herd starts to run in the other direction.
