Give me a break. Over 40% of our federal income tax goes to entitlements- ie direct checks into the pockets of those who can't or refuse to work. Social Security, medicare, medicaid.

When my brother was driven to the hospital in an ambulance because of a burst appendix, my parents paid the $800 for the trip. Most hospitals are private companies.

A great idea that has been occurring recently are tax free communities where people only pay for the services they actually use. You have to be rich to live there, though, according to the letter of the law. If your house catches fire- you pay for the fire department to come help you. same with police, etc.

then when THEY need a service, they can't figure out why its not there. in other words, when their aging parent needs an ambulance, the ambulance should be there in thirty seconds.
