If the Pharisaical legalistic interpretation of text is so important, why is it Christ did not write anything down? He was surely educated enough. As far as I know, the only reference in the New Testament to Him writing is the time He wrote something in the sand with his finger.

Prior to the year 325 there was no Bible. What did the faithful do until then? They held to Tradition and said Mass.

You are free to slice and dice your texts today thanks to the blood shed by the martyrs of the early Church. You should show a little gratitude.
