Arik:

I've been hearing talk on this thread of a crash since Dow 6000 and Nasdaq 1200. We are now trading at twilight zone levels. The danger at this point is that we still move considerably higher. The Index put call ratio is at extremely pessimistic levels. The VIX is rising along with the Nasdaq. This has got to be one of the greatest speculative markets of all time. Everything points to an eventual vicious Bear Market. But as I've been saying for years on this thread, liquidity is still on the side of the Bulls. What else matters? Fundamentals are clearly dead. When do they resurface? Why should they resurface? Nothing seems to matter except pumping up the indices.

I would have thought that the 3 recent rate hikes would have caused some damage. How stupid of me! I should have known that rate hikes are bullish! Everything is bullish. The rate hikes just lit a greater fire to the speculation, especially with Greenspam pumping.

Most people on this thread still have respect for fundamentals. Perhaps New ERA is right. The typical person who is in this market and which I spoke of years ago on this thread has a financial IQ of about 10. Bob, Jane, Ted and Alice are running this market, not guys like you with a brain.

What is the case for a crash now? Based on what? Standards and Criterions that no longer apply? Fighting the Public, the FED, this Teflon President has been a disaster up to this point.

I'm mostly in cash at the moment. I watch closely. I'm afraid we move higher.

Happy New Year
