Are you aware that unfounded suspicions are often evidence of paranoid schizophrenia, especially those of Swedish ancestry? If I were you I would check with your alienist. They are doing miracles with drugs. Keep working on your biblical research. Try to compare the different English versions with the Vulgate and Douay. Its easy to do word counts and glossaries automatically.
As to the Vatican treasures you are right. Some of the codices are are quite early, but not as early as the fragments in the Dead Sea Scrolls or the OT fragments from Cairo. What I want to see is the last prophecy of Your Lady of Fatima --- the one that sent John XXIII into a conniption fit and led him to seal it up.
I'm hoped to write a book "Secrets of the Vatican" but the Pope woul;dn't tell any. I think he may be hiding something, but I'm not obsessing about it. Live and let live, I say. To each his own. Peace!
