You see, I've always had a problem with those subtle details.

I suppose it's all OK, if Jesus and Matt were both supportive of the 'love your enemies' idea.

-but I still don't like the instruction that being "good' to your enemies is like 'heaping hot coals upon them'...

So far, it looks like the Cath's killed a Jew [made an example of him], then used the Image of his Murder to control the populace.
