This should be a very valuable thread to those of us affected by the topic. I congratulate you on your efforts and look forward to a constructive dialog here. I am posting the question I sent to you by PM and look forward to others comments.

Hi Condor..... I noticed your post re: sitting in Central America. I have a place I Nevada and am "semi-retired" and making my living on the markets for the most part. I am curious as to whether you are familiar with any tax breaks that might be available to Canadians that spend time out of the country. If one is absent over half of the year and making income from the markets, does he pay tax on that income in the country he was in at the time of gains???? I'm just barging in to pick your brain :-)
