It was on one of PBS's award winning series. All of the mischief took place in the cut of the material and interview "questions" added after the fact. Watching television being made, Del, ain't any prettier that watching sausage being made.

You seem like you already know this, but for those that do not... PBS's local affiliates actually buy the shows from other organizations which were originally set up to produce shows solely for PBS but now Discovery, History etc. or anybody who is interested has access. WGBH Boston is like that... they have a trust that produces shows and anybody can buy them... of course there are clauses where the top documentaries like "Irish in America" get heavy promotion on PBS and therefore cannot be marketed to discovery, etc. But they will show up on other stations after the time limitations run out.

One show that has been RUINED by somebody who is very right-leaning is "Frontline". Frontline used to be a top unbiased news documentary. Now its somebody's Clinton-hating vehicle - I don't know what happened there... I've seen more Waco/Whitewater, blah blah exposes on there than I ever needed or wanted to see. The public realizes this is a bias and PBS's reputation suffers for it.
