I'm not recommending that you stand in front of the train.
I am simply commenting on what has been an effective stock market price promotion paid for by SUNW. They have misled wallstreet with this propaganda campaign very effectively.
They have tried to convince people that 75% of the internet is driven by SUNW servers. This is simply not true. In reality an internet message bounces off 5 different servers as it makes it way to you. It is no way near the 95% number that you have suggested.

The reality for SUNW is that they have had their run up.
Their workstation sales are flat to down. They make no money off of JAVA. Their servers are on a price performance basis scoring much worse than some of their competitors. As far as earnings momentum is concerned SUNW is expected to grow earnings at about 25% this next year. Moreover, the company is vulnerable this year to new, more cost effective, offerings from IBM, HWP, CPQ, and DELL. So it looks like this is the last big run up that this stock will see for years to come.

:)
