lorrie, you have the option of asking for a secular alternative to swearing on the Bible in a courtroom. It is rarely asked for, because it would obviously be upsetting. This is another example of Christians coercing the public to use their rituals. You are not asked which you prefer, it is assumed that you won't put up a fuss, and just go along with the coercion.

I wonder how many times a secular alternative was used? CB or anybody else?
