Mike Buckley, NY Stew, Uncle Frank, others. . . .

Forgive me if this has been addressed previously. On Dec 5, NY Stew posted the following regarding the GMST/TVGIA merger. If we assume, for the sake of argument, that the merger has a 30% chance of NOT going through, those are fairly high odds. Is the growing assumption on this thread that GMST is a baby gorilla based on the merger going through, or is it based on GMST standalone? If the merger fails, will you continue to hold GMST and what do you see as it's long term prospects in light of a failed merger?

Thanks,

David

Lucas,

What is the probability of this merger not closing?

Better than 50:50 but surely not a slam dunk.

More importantly, what will happen to GMST if this merger fails (both long and short term)?

If you would have asked this 40-50 points ago I would have said that the market would have rewarded
Gemstar and punished TV Guide. Now, I believe that both would take a negative hit short term.

Just an opinion. The market likes to fool us all.

Regards
NY Stew
