Ellen, good post. I have thought about why shorts seem to come on really strong in the choice of terms they use for their targets.

I came to the conclusion that shorts calling their targets "pigs" or a "Piece of ****" is really no different than a long investor falling in love with their favorite stocks, or with its management.

It just looks hostile and a little strange to those of us that don't subscribe to the "contra" investing style.

Me, I prefer loving my investments.

And that is what makes a market...:-)
