Christians like to take an oath on the Bible, despite Jesus telling them not to swear. Jews like a Torah. Sikhs like a Granth. Some Muslims like a Koran. You can take an oath on anything you like. When I am sworn, I simply say "I affirm that I will tell the truth!" Simple. True. Constitutional.
