Hi Windsock: Don't know the cause of the lockup or just how prevalent it is...Can't be too serious though if Compaq is picking up as many AMD products as they can! Also seems Salomon Smith Barney are believers in the "spry Athy" raising Q4 shipment estimate from 950,000 units to 1.1 million units and raising Y2000 estimate a whopping 40% from 9 million units to 12.5 million units! Do you suppose Salomaon Smith Barney were unaware of the Compaq problem in arriving at their Dec. 31 estimated shipments for "the better mousetrap at the better price"? I don't!
