Bluetooth to Take a Big Bite Out of Portable PC Market -- according to Infoworld (the 12/27, 1999 issue) A massive transition Bluetooth-enabled portable PCs is expected to begin in early 2000. International Data Corp. forecasts that, by 2003, nearly 90 percent of the notebooks (about 31.2 total million units will be shipped) shipping worldwide will include Bluetooth wireless communication technology, up from zero in 1999. (20.9% for the year 2000).
