I am by no means a pro-tax person, but I think the lack of sales tax on the internet is irrational and grossly unfair for other b&m businesses. Maybe the overall rate should be reduced (to account for additional tax revs) and internet taxed.

All the baloney about taxes squelching the dynamic new potential of the internet is just that-baloney. Should we eliminate sales tax on cars so htat GM will do more R&D and make more innovative cars?
