Yes, a lot of the upgrading would have been done anyway, eh. This is the case with me, this computer is over three years old now, it has limitations, for instance won't run two monitors. So i did nothing whatsoever in the way of preparing it for y2k, just thought if it went down i'd buy another, since i likely will anyway. Three times the machine now costs half the money i paid back then, now i know more about exactly what to buy, and it's just time. Turns out it works fine, i don't have the y2k excuse, so it will become a secondary machine, one day soon i'll trundle the plastic into town and get a new one.
Of course, if there's a tax advantage, i'll look in every corner of this old one for a y2k fault -g- |
