First, patents either get invalidated or the scope of their claims get narrowed all the time. Whether it be for wireless data, handoff, channel allocation, or whatever feature, this happens to some patents.
It isn't circuit switched and they said they didn't make any changes to the handoff or channel width.
But, changes were, in fact, made, weren't they?
You aren't reading what I am writing. Most likely, Qualcomm has patents specifically pertaining to transmitting data over a wireless interface. Let's forget about handoff, channel width, etc. Let's just focus on those patents on transmitting data over a wireless interface. OK?
Now, in order for them to get HDR out of those earlier patents, changes were made to either an implementation, algortihm, system, etc. If so, then those patents which recite the older method would not be applicable to HDR.
