Chris, I consider the prophesies of Daniel,ie the 70 weeks to be like a chain of events. Once a link of the chain is pulled, the whole chain of events happened. One interesting thing is that Daniel was told to seal up the prophesy. In Revelation, John's revelation is the same as Daniels but he is told NOT to seal up the prophesy.

To me this indicates that it is an imminent event. Although a few attempt to date the prophesy after 70AD, if you allow Scripture to interpret Scripture, it is obvious that Revelation was finished and in the hands of the Churches before the 70AD destruction. This is why it related to 70Ad and not something later which would create a GAP in the prophesy as the futurists attempt to do to the 70 weeks.
