Jim-- from trying to put together what cpq is saying along with the industry,, it seems there may be an excess of "junk" on the start up that uses more memory than is available. It could also be loading faster than it verifys and dumps. As companies want to put more available to the customer that becomes a problem. Hell, I have to double click for my internet connection while these machines load a little program so you just have to press 1 button.. that kind of "junk" requires memory. When a ton of it comes at once the 'freeze' begins. Still, engineers should have caught that long before these machines went out the door,,, not good for a company that needs all the good news it can find did not need to piss off customers that could have been great word of mouth advertising.
