History is interesting, Carl

Unfortunately, the P/E multiple expansions in these stocks are unsustainable. Do you remember what happened in Japan a
decade ago?

BTW, I *don't* believe the stuff spewed out on financial news reporting. While I have no proof of this, my sense is that *most* fund managers are of the "growth" variety, and they are "spewing" your line, not mine. Makes me feel quite
comfortable in my contrariness.

Having said this, I will stipulate that I may be "quite wrong" at least in the short run. But .... you better have your exit strategy ready to implement on a moment's notice.
We have some tough times ahead in the market ... at some point. When this moment arrives (2001?), we will wish that the NASDAQ and S&P 500 were not weighted averages, believe me. The outflow from the equity funds and 401K's will *completely negate* the continued growth in earnings in CSCO, MSFT et al.

At any rate, the excitement will continue for a while, one way or another!

Thanks for your response.

Regards--JG
